Baba Fateh Singh Akhara Gatka classes

The art of Gatka involves a series of integral combat training systems that include several systems of duels and the use of weapons of defence and offence. It aims at the co-ordination of mind & body through the meditation of spiritual verses of Gurbani, a holistic system by which the character and moral attitude of a student is shaped.
This skilful art has been preserved to the present day by the group of Sikhs Known as the Akali - Nihang's. They travel together from all over India to meet at Anandpur Sahib (Birth place of the Khalsa) in the month of March on the occasion of Holla Mohalla and give a breath taking display of this traditional fighting art.
While symbolising Sikh courage and fearlessness, the Gatka emphasise the preservation of peace and harmony and self discipline through the Gurus teachings.

Concerns from some of the Local and national Sangat:
Where ever maharaj goes, the complex becomes a Gurdwara , therefore the whole complex should be of a Gurdwara standard. Will this be maintained with meat School dinners being present in the complex?
It would be better to engage the Non-Sikh audience with a projector displaying Gurbani with English Translations (Sikhi to the max).
5 singhs went to do benti to the pardan and told him "please don't take maharaj, because tomorrow if a family wants to do a wedding in that hall, how can you say No" Even Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji never refused the benti of Punj Singhs.
A Hukamnama from Akal Thakt says that Maharaj should not be taken to a complex with meat, intoxications etc.
Maharaj is being used to show-boat "The Sikh Holy book" to local councilors as a formality. Because if they really wanted to see maharaj they would have wanted to see the true king in his kingdom (the Gurdwara). This is more respectful!
How can the committee still be called panthic, after they have refused benti from 5 singhs and violated a Hukamnama from Akal Thakt.
All the arguments that the committee have come out with are out of childish ego.
As a so called "panthic pardan" you have a responsibility for peace and unity amongst the local sangat. Even if you don't see something as a beadbi to be panthic you make a choice using your initiative. But the pardan is showing Ego and stubbornness.
Wouldn't it be better to cater for the whole community and have a successful programme were everyone gets involved, instead of the committee showing ego and doing our besti if a protest that may lead to a fight happens?
A lot of Panthic jatha Bandis have condemned maharaj being taken there.
The School is a two minute walk from the Gurdwara, why couldn’t the programme be done in the Gurdwara in conjunction with the school.
Points the comitte have made:
The hall in which maharaj is going doesn't have meat etc (so would that mean the Gurdwara would allow a family to take maharaj from his Thorne in the Gurdwara and perform a wedding in the same hall?)
The melas in the park are more dirty and more beadbi happens. (This is true, that is something for the whole panth to think about)
Solutions:
1: To keep the unity of the panth at all costs, the power however lies in the pardons decision.
2: You can have a stage with kirtanis and projector in the school. Parchaar is still done and everyone is happy
3: Change location to the Gurdwara and work in conjunction with school, in this way we will show maharaj in his darbar to the people. This is more respectful.

If not we think the The pardan wants to see scenes like this, the key to unity is in your hands Pardan Ji:

Self Defense Laws are disgusting in the UK
The UK Self defense laws are disgusting contrasting to other countries. If a intruder breaks into your house and you don’t use reasonable force, you could be doing more time in jail then the intruder. What is reasonable force? an intruder is not going to come in empty handed, it’s a kill or killed be situation. The first thing that would come to my mind would be to take the person out for the safety of my kids, family and myself. If somebody in the
Beetlesl in your food and you might have no clue!
Few people know that the food coloring listed as cochineal extract comes from female beetles. Food activists want to spread the word.

When you dig into a strawberry Yoplait yogurt, take a moment to contemplate where the beautiful pink color comes from. Strawberries? Think again. It comes from crushed bugs. Specifically, from the female cochineal beetles and their eggs. And it's not just yogurt. The bugs are also used to give red coloring to Hershey Good & Plenty candies, Tropicana grapefruit juice, and other common foods.
What Companies Do to Improve the Look & Taste of Your Food?
You won't find "crushed bugs" on the list of ingredients for any of these foods, however. Companies have a bit of latitude in describing exactly what they put in our food. Many larger companies, such as General Mills, the manufacturer of Yoplait and Pepsi, the maker of Tropicana, identify the dye in their products as either carmine, or cochineal extract. Still, many companies simply list "artificial color" on their ingredients list without giving any details.

ALLERGIC REACTIONS
Jacobson says that consumers want to know what they're eating. Some are allergic to bug extract; others are vegetarians. "The food product should indicate that it comes from insects so that vegetarians at least can avoid the product," he says.

Da Last Sikh Unit Album released!

Harpreet Kaur was very interested in the Sikh struggle and used to consider the Sikh fighters her brothers. When the newspaper would print a notice about the Shahidi and bhog of a Sikh fighter, she would cut out their picture and keep it in her purse.
The police decided to search her purse. When the pictures were found, the excuse to arrest this young Sikh girl was found and she was taken directly to the famous torture center at BR Model School in Amritsar. She was put in the custody of Thanedar Darshan Lal who punished Harpreet Kaur for her “crime”. In that dark torture center, only Vahiguru knows what suffering and brutality Harpreet Kaur faced.
Despite her family’s best efforts to free her, the newspapers reported that Harpreet Kaur along with 3 other “terrorists” had been killed on June 27, 1992 near Sultanvind. Her body was not given to the family. The family went to the cremation grounds at Durgiana Mandir and in one pile of ashes, Harpreet Kaur’s sister recognized a kaRa. The two sisters used to wear identical KaRas and the ashes were recognized as Harpreet Kaur’s. No justice was ever expected or delivered for this cold-blooded murder.

Ninja warfare

Ninja were small in numbers but caused devastating fear and defeats on their enemies. They had a code of silence and secrets. They got the job done, no matter how and when. One Ninja was able to complete many missions before being killed or captured. The Ninjas are all about surviving by any means necessary. They are cut throat killers that don’t fight on the field, but they commence in guerilla warfare with stealth. The Khalsa has different morals and principlas than the Ninja, but some Ninja tatics are in a league of its own!
Below is a 3 part documentry on the Ninja
