Overcoming Mourning

Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji – How to overcome mourning

A Sikh once came into the darbar of Satguru Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj asked this question, "O True Emperor, holy men have risen above worldly attachment. By what thought are they aided? Attachment is a very chronic ailment of mankind. By what method have they risen above this? Please, be kind and explain it to us."

"I will tell you the way the saints have conquered attachment to the world. They regard the material possessions as a dream. Just as what you see in a dream, does not exist when you wake up, in the same way saints have woken up to the real knowledge (gyan). All objects of the world appear to be transient to them," explained Maharaj.

Satguru Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji then began to tell a story, "There was a saint, who had attained a high spiritual stage. Living in the midst of the world, he remained above its pleasures and sorrows. Someone came and informed him that his son had died. The saint did not express any grief at the news. The people talked about the son thus, 'Sant ji, your son was very handsome and young. He was also very learned. At his death all others expressed their shock. But you have not mourned his death. What considerations have influenced your mind?'

"During the night I saw a dream in which I was a king. I married and got a son. But when I woke up, there was neither kingdom, nor wife and son. On waking from this dream, I heard the news that my son of the world of consciousness had died. Then I went to my Gurdev and told him of my miserable plight. 'Swami ji,' I said, 'not only has my dream world disappeared, but my real son also is no more. What should I do now? I am overwhelmed with grief.'

"Give up mourning over both, for the whole universe is an illusion, the dream world and the conscious world. What is an illusion does not deserve mourning over. Illusion means that in fact nothing was created, or exists. Uncreated objects enter our vision, in dreams or in the conscious world. Therefore, stop mourning over both,' explained my Gurdev to me, and the reality clearly dawned in my mind. For this reason, I am not affected by sorrows or pleasures of the world.' This is the way saints have risen above worldly attachments," concluded the Satguru Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj, the king of kings and the saint of saints.

The way to the ultimate state of mind is to read Gurbani and follow the teachings and ask for Guru Ji’s grace.

Da Khalsa is Distinct

“Jab lag khalsa rahe naira, tab lag tej dioon mein sara jab eh gaye bipran ki reet, mein na karoon in ki parteet” - Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji (Sarbloh Granth)

“As long as the Khalsa remains distinct I will give them my full support and glory, but if they follow empty rituals I will not aid them”

You are probably wondering what “bipran ki reet” is and what it has to do with Sikhi. Well, the answer is very simple. Bipran ki reet is a phase which refers to the principles of Brahmins (Hinduism) the phrase itself is derived from two words: “bipar” meaning Brahmins and “reet” meaning principle. Combined these two terms make bipran ki reet which is used as a reference to a distancing from Sikh principles and following of some sort of mindless rituals. So in other words following Bipran ki reet is going away from Sikhi.

Some Brahmin rituals we follow:

Rakri, Lorhi, Fasting, superstitions.

Baba Buddha Ji

Baba Buddha was the great Sikh saint who had the pleasure of serving under the first six Gurus. A venerated primal figure of early Sikhism.

When he was a young boy, ha was grazing cattle outside his village when Guru Nanak Dev Ji passed by. According to Bhai Mani Singh in Sikhism di Bhagat Mala, Bura went up to the Guru Ji presented him with a bowl of milk as his offering. He said to Guru Ji: 'O sustainer of the poor! Iam fortunate to have had a sight of you today. Absolve me now from the cycle of birth and death.'The Guru replied, 'You are only a child, yet you speak so wisely.' Some soldiers set up camp by our village,'replied Bura, 'and they mowed down all our crops-ripe as well as unripe. Then it occurred to me that, when no one could check these indiscriminating soldiers, who would restrain Death from laying his hand upon us, young or old.' At this Guru Nanak Dev Ji replied: 'You are not a child; you possess the wisdom of an old man.' From that day, Bura, came to be known as BHAI BUDDHA. Buddha in Punjabi meaning is an old man. And later, when advanced in years, he became known as BABA BUDDHA.

He devoted himself passionately to tasks such as the digging of the baoli at Goindval under the instructions of Guru Amar Das Ji and the excavation of the sarover at Amritsar under Guru Ram Das Ji and Guru Arjan Dev Ji. The ber tree under which he used to sit supervising the excavation of the Amritsar pool still stands in the grounds of the Golden Temple. . Since Guru Angad Dev Ji period and until Guru Har Gobind Sahib, Baba Buddha was responsible for tilak during the gur gadhi ceremonies.

Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji had no offspring by Mata Ganga Ji. The Guru told Mata Ganga Ji to go and see Baba Buddha. She did as the Guru asked and went to Baba Buddha Ji. Baba Ji broke an onion and predicted that she will have a son who will break the heads of the enemies like this, and destroy the cruel oppressors. This blessing proved to be true as later Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji was born to her and who lived up to the above expectations. 'Dal Bhanjan Gur Sooma'.

Guru Hargobind Ji was placed under Baba Buddha ji’s instructions and training. When the Adi Granth (Guru Granth Sahib Ji) was installed in the Harimandar Sahib on 16 August 1604, Baba Buddha Ji was appointed as the first ever granthi by Guru Arjan Dev Ji. He became the first high priest of the sacred shine, now known as the Golden Temple. Following the martyrdom of Guru Arjan Dev Ji on 30 May 1606, Guru Hargobind Ji raised opposite the Harimandar an eleven feet high platform and called it Akal Takht, the Timeless Throne or the Throne of the Timeless.

Baba Buddha passed his last days in meditation at Jhanda Ramdas, or simply called Ramdas, a village founded by his son, Bhai Bhana. As the end came, on 16 November 1631, Guru Hargobind Ji was at his bedside. The Guru, as saying the Gurbilas Chhevin Patshahi, gave his shoulder to Baba Ji and performed the last rites. Two shrines stand in Ramdas commemorating Baba Buddha, Gudwara Tap Asthan Baba Buddha Ji, where the family lived on the southern edge of the village, and Gudwara Samadhan, where he was cremated.

Baba Bhuddha adopted the Sikh faith and lived an excellent GurSikh living. As a result he came to be respectfully known as 'Baba Buddha' and honorably earned some of the highest Gurughar honors. He had the privilege to serve, enjoy the company, and receive blessings of first six Gurus.

Kabeer, we are puppets of clay, but we take the name of mankind. We are guests here for only a few days, but we take up so much space. SGGSJ

There once was a young student who went everyday to visit a wise and spiritually blessed old man. Each day after school the boy would visit and listen to the old man narrate the Gurus teachings and in turn he would help the old man with chores. The old man would always be very happy to see the boy. However one day the boy came to the old man's home as he did everyday.

Upon entering the old man summoned him to his side at once. The old man had a grave look on his face. After sitting the boy down he started

"Dear boy tomorrow you will die and visit me no longer, you will not see the sun rise, not hug your parents and siblings, not eat a morsel of food as this is your final day on earth."

The boy began to weep loudly.
"Why are you crying?" the old man said, "I told you, that you have the rest of the day to live, why don't I start our daily lesson?"

"Baba Ji, leave me be" cried the boy. "Let me say my final farewell to my family and friends, please."

"Very well" said the old man, "but remember you have little time left."

The boy raced home and told his family and friends the wise mans prophecy. Everyone wept and embraced him. After he could shed no more tears, he went to his bed room and began to watch the clock. "Only 6 hrs left to die," he thought to him self. Then only 3 hours left, then 5 minutes left and the old man came inside his room.

"Let us talk," said the old man.

"You want to waste time talking"? said the boy "I am going to die soon!"

"God can make anything can happen in a second and you have 5 minutes left so lets talk," said the old man.

"Ohh Baba leave me alone and let me die in peace. I am in so much regret of my past deeds!" cried the boy.

"Very well, but answer one question and then I’ll leave you alone," said the old man. The boy agreed.

"In this day did you slander anyone's name, speak unpleasantly to anyone, harm someone, lie, or commit any sin?" said the old man.

"No all I thought about was dying" said the boy.
"How can I do anything else?"

"That is the lesson I was trying to teach you" said the old man. The way you have not done anything wrong in the last 24 hours is the same way i have done nothing wrong in the last 46 years!"

Moral: the human body is a time bomb waiting to go off, we should jaap Naam as much as we can and not waste our golden chance of human birth in sins and maya!

THE CONCEPT OF CHARDHI KALAH IN SIKHI

The Sikhs are a unique spirit-born people believing in the founder, Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s basic concept of work, worship and charity.

Gurmukh Naam, Dhann Ishan.

'Gurmukh' is a God-guided devotee. 'Naam' refers to the power the energy, the universal cosmic Life force and the vibrant virile manifestation of God in creation and also lying dormant in Man.

'Dhaan' is the rare Gift of an awakened Naam. When this takes place the individual has achieved total cleansing which is refferred to as ‘Ishnaan’, an inner bath.

Chardi kalah is the elation and to be in high spirits at all times. Chardi Kalah, meaning, 'the waxing moon', is an equivalence of the mind that never despairs, never admits defeat and refuses to be crushed by any adversary. It is the cherished ideal mood which the Gurus have preached and for which a Sikh prays daily in his Ardass or formal thus:

Nanak Naam Chardhi Kalah, Terri Bhaanei Sarbat Thaa Bhalaa

Naam is defined and referred to here as Chardhi Kalah, which is power, an Energy that is always in Ascendency and never diminishes, no matter how one partakes of it. In the Sikh Scriptures, Naam is also referred to as a Holy Life Force, as an entity which is substantial, tangible and yet transcendental. Guru

"Guru Nanak has so truly laid the foundations of Sikhi that it shall continue on its progressive momentous course". SGGSJ

Chardhi Kalah is the superior and glorious state of mind in which there is no fear, jealousy or enmity and constant celestial bliss of self-dignity, self abundance and grandeur of the soul. Chardhi Kalah is the indicator of a Sikh’s absolute faith in One Akaal Purakh, The EK Onkarr, the One almighty God. The five K's of the Khalsa, a gift from the Guru, are symbols of dignity and power. They are the outer symbols of an inner spirit that knows no reverse, no disappointment and the personality that is unconquerable in its far reaching hope, in its spiritual radiance and is always a fountain of inspiration to others around.

The Sikh history is full of examples of Chardhi Kalah under different circumstances, when the Sikhs remained calm, contented, courageous, cheerful, controlled and full optimistic exuberance. Sikhs led a life of positivism and never feared hostilities, opposition and even death. They regarded hardships as part of life and considered difficulties to be the stepping stones in the secret of success and progress on life.

Sikh Meal Time Prayer translation

The Sikh Prayer for Meal Times

Before and after Sikhs eat they are meant to say a prayer as a Thank you to God for providing them with food. Every time we eat we should not take it for granted because there are loads of people suffering from hunger.

D is for the dear lord Waheguru who is the sole provider for the whole creation.

There is no limit to his giving; his countless stores are filled to overflowing.

From whom we receive our nourishment, let us all celebrate him.

O Nanak no one can issue commands to the Dear Lord Master (Waheguru), Let us offer prayers instead.

Seek the one sole provider, you will be blessed with everything and all your wishes will be fulfilled.

Meditate on the one sole provider (waheguru) with mind, body, each breath and morsel of food.

O dear almighty God (waheguru)! May the love of you Naam be exalted through Guru Nanak. May all prosper according to your will.

Did Guru Gobind Singh Ji worship Hindu Gods ?

Mislead or uneducated people are going around saying that in Dasam Granth Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji worships Hindus Gods and Goddesses. This is far from the truth in fact people are just spreading rumors without actually checking what they hear. I have collected some shabads from Dasam Granth which shows what Guru Ji really says!

He hath Created millions of Krishnas like worms. He created them, annihilated them, again destroyed them, and still again created them.

Somewhere He hath created millions of servants like Krishna. Somewhere He hath effaced and then created (many) like Rama. (Ang 98)

Ram and Rahim whose names you are uttering can’t save you. Brahma, Vishnu Shiva, Sun and Moon, all are subject to the power of Death (Waheguru) .1. (Ang 1349)

O God! The day when I caught hold of your feet, I do not bring anyone else under my sight; none other is liked by me now; the Puranas and the Quran try to know Thee by the names of Ram and Rahim and talk about you through several stories, but I do not accept this.

He, whose form and colour are not, how can he be called Shyaam (black)? . (Ang 1349)

Someone calls Him Ram or Krishna and someone believes in His incarnations, but my mind has forsaken all useless actions and has accepted only One Creator.12. (Ang 1352)

Brahma came into being under the control of time and taking his staff and pot his hand, he wandered on the earth; Shiva was also under the control of time and wandered in various countries far and near;

Even if you have meditated on millions of Krishnas, Vishnus, Ramas and Rahims. Even if you have recited the name of Brahma and established Shivalingam, even then none could save you…….They cannot save themselves form the blow of death, how can they protect you? They are all hanging in the blazing fire of anger; therefore they will cause you to hang hanging similarly. (Ang 111)

I do not adore Ganesha in the beginning and also do not meditate on Krishna and Vishnu; I have only heard about them with my ears and I do not recognize them; my consciousness is absorbed at the feet of the Supreme Lord.

He, whom Shiva etc. Had been searching, but could not know His Mystery; O Shukdev! Relate to me the story of that Lord.

If you consider Ram, the Lord as Unborn, then how did he take birth from the womb of Kaushalya? He, who is said to be the destroyer of death, then why did he become subjugated himself before death?

If he (Krishna) is called the Truth-incarnate, beyond enmity and opposition, then why did he become the charioteer of Arjuna? O mind! You only consider him the Lord God, who’s Mystery, could not be known to anyone.

Krishna himself is considered the treasure of Grace, then why did the hunter shot his arrow at him? He has been described as redeeming the clans of others then he caused the destruction of his own clan;

If he (Krishna) is said to be unborn and without a beginning, then how did he come into the womb of Devaki? He, who is considered without any father or mother, then why did he cause Vasudev to be called his father?

Why do you consider Shiva or Brahma as the Lord? There is none amongst Ram, Krishna and Vishnu, who may be considered as the Lord of the Universe by you;

Relinquishing the One Lord, you remember many gods and goddesses; in this way

Someone calls Brahma as the Lord-God and someone tells the same thing about Shiva; someone considers Vishnu as the hero of the universe and says that only by remembering him, all the sins will be destroyed;

O fool ! Think about it a thousand times, all of them will leave you at the time of death. Therefore, you should only meditate on Him, who was in the past, is there in the present and will also be there in the future.16.

He, who created millions of Indras and Upendras and then destroyed them; He, who created innumerable gods, demons, Sheshnaga, tortoises, birds, animals etc.,

And for knowing whose Mystery, Shiva and Brahma are performing austerities even till today, but could not know His end; He is such a Guru, whose Mystery could not be comprehended also by Vedas and Katebs and my Guru has told me the same thing.

The Vedas and Ketebs could not comprehend His Mystery and the adepts have been defeated in practicing contemplation; Different kinds of thoughts have been mentioned about God in Vedas, Shastras, Puranas and smrities; ( Ang 1351)

How can He be said to come in human form? The Siddha (adept) in deep meditation became tired of the discipline on not seeing Him in any way…..Pause. (Ang 1348)

Sheshnaga, Indra, Gandesha, Shiva and also the Shrutis (Vedas) could not know Thy Mystery; O my foolish mind! Why have you forgotten such a Lord? 4.

Letter from Indira Gandhi to Sant Ji & Sant Ji’s Reply

Sriman Sant Jarnail Singh Ji

I want to solve the knotty problem of Punjab. We shall find a solution of the demands of Punjab with mutual talks. We will settle all your demands within the constitution. Taking into account my personal security, fix some time to meet me. Do not waste the potentiality of India in such agitations (Morchas). Any dispute can be resolved with mutual talks. You are patriotic, brave and a hard working Punjabi. I hope you will make a significant contribution towards the construction and prosperity of India.

With thanks

Indira Ghandi

Prime Minister of India

Ik Onkaar SatGur Prasaad

(Sword, double-edged sword, bow and arrow are our guides or Gurus)

The main servant of India from political angle, bibi Indira Ji,

I am expressing my thoughts which will reach your deaf ears. My voice will reach to you the discriminations against the Sikhs, which have injured their feelings. It may let your deaf ears feel, what type of language has been used. But in order to remove your deafness I want to express myself in this letter. Read it carefully.

The enquiry of the death of Lala jagat Narain, who was connected with the Hindus, was complete within three days, the same may be proved from the warrants of my arrest, but the enquiry of the murder of the Guru of the Sikhs, the destruction of wealth of the Sikhs collected in the form of buses and the plunder of Sikh wealth of three lakh at chando kalan was stopped with a writ of a government official because that enquiry was in the hands of a Sikh Judge, while my case was registered with a Hindu judge. This is an example of your deafness, because no Sikh had objected why my enquiry was entrusted to a Hindu judge.

The dead body of lal Jagat Narain who was connected with the majority Hindu community was handed over to Ramesh after post-mortem. But the dead bodies of about one and a half a dozen Sikhs at Mehta Chowk in police firing were never handed over to their relatives. This is a clear example of discrimination.

None of the Hindus have gone to jail for Hindi Suba; none has courted arrest for renaming a train after a Hindu temple. No one has ever gone to jail for getting a status of a sacred city for some Hindus railway station. None of the Hindus have made any sacrifice for the preservation of a Hindu symbol. After independence they got everything that suited their religion.

But contrary to this, after independence more then one lakh of Sikhs have courted arrests and a large number of them has been martyred for Punjabi speaking state, for installing a transmitter in Golden Temple, for a status of a distinct nation, for getting the status of a sacred city for Amritsar and for getting the right to adorn the Sikh symbols. Even then your deaf ears have not heard anything.

Sikhs have already faced the cruelty of the rulers with peace, but you should know that when the patience is exhausted the Sikhs have resorted to the armaments according to the advice of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji-

When all the means of a peaceful solution are exhausted it is just and pious to resort to arms. (Zafarnama)

But we still have no programme to resort to arms, but if the injustice with the Sikhs continues like this under the intoxication of the chair (state of power) it will not be tolerated for many years or months, because our patience is exhausted as we have been observing the peaceful mean since long. While asking the government to accede to our demands we have been propagating that a Hindu should be a perfect in his religious symbols i.e. he should keep a tuft of hair unshorn on his head, should have a stick in his hand, should wear dhoti, should wear sacred thread, should have 12 saffrom marks (on head, nose, chin, shoulders, cervix, palate etc). He should read Geeta and worship Shivling. He should go to temple and ring the holy bells and should not smoke tobacco. We think such Hindu as a brother. A Muslim should be perfect in his religion and a Sikh should be a perfect Sikh. That is what we preach. How far is it true to term such a person as a terrorist?

Under the spell of false prestige of state power, many rulers have tried to finish the Sikhs and there is no sign of them now. If you continue your atrocities and tyranny I am afraid, you will meet the same end because power and wealth never remain permanently with anybody. Our Holy Scripture says;

The praise of wealth… does not compare to Gods praises

At long last people like Ravan went barefoot

Pulling off Sikh girl’s cloths and forcing their father to have sex with them, to put tobacco on the mouth of a Sikh and spitting in his mouth, making a wound in the thigh and putting salt in the wound, putting the houses of the Sikhs on fire, making false cases on Sikh girls, arresting Sikh students, killing them in false encounters, and protecting the murderers of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, the chief minister, S.P.D.R Bhatti, Ludhaina, D.I.G. Mangat Patiala and their companions are the glaring examples of deafness. Everything is told here in brief.

Let the time come I will tell you in detail the discrimination meted out to the Sikhs.

50,000 TO RECEIVE AMRIT - SIKHS MUST SUPPORT SHAHEED FAMILIES AND OPPOSE THE ENEMIES OF THE KHALSA PANTH: SANT DHADRIANWALE

Discoursing the rich Sikh history of sacrifice and martyrdom, during the Sangrand Diwaan at Gurdwara Parmeshar Dwar Sahib Patiala, its Mukh Sewadaar Sant Baba Ranjit Singh Dhadrianwale have said that the uttermost respect should be given to the families of Shaheeds, who have sacrificed their lives for the Khalsa Panth. While Sikhs around the world should support these families in all ways possible, at the same time it is also the duty of every Sikh to oppose the enemies of the Khalsa Panth and those who make various attempts to challenge and weaken the Sikh nation.

Not too long ago, Sikhs brought justice to the notorious Panth enemy, pseudo-Nihang Ajit Phoola. After learning the Jatha of Sant Dhadrianwale has many vehicles used for Gurmat Parchaar, a few years ago, Phoola arrived at Gurdwara Parmeshar Dwar Sahib attempting and hoping to seize a few jeeps from there, like he was known to do in and around Punjab for years. However, a clear warning was given by Sant Dhadrianwale and the Jatha that no such challenge would succeed here. A few months ago very soon after the death of Ajit Phoola, at which time Sant Dhadrianwale was in the USA for Gurmat Parchaar, the father of Navtej Singh (one of the two youths who provided justice to Phoola) was honoured with a Siropa during a Diwaan in New Jersey.

Sant Baba Ranjit Singh Dhadrianwale and the father of Navtej Singh (one of the two youths who provided justice to Ajit Phoola) honoured at the 2008 New Jersey Diwaan of Sant Dhadrianwale.

Celebrating the 300 years since Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, in the September Sangrand at Gurdwara Parmeshar Dwar Sahib, Sant Dhadrianwale declared that over the next few months an attempt would be made with Guru Sahib Ji's grace to encourage approximately 50,000 people to take Amrit through the Guru Maneo Granth Chetna Samagams.

Sant Dhadrianwale said in the months from around the Sangrand of October 2008, to the Vaisakhi April 2009 Sangrand, by doing Parchaar day and night in various villages/cities all over Punjab and India, Guru Sahib Ji will make this possible where somewhere in the region of 50,000 people will receive Amrit and pledge to adopt the Khalsa Rehat - to acknowledge Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji as their only living Guru.

We are updated that Sant Dhadrianwale continues to do 1-3 Gurmat Diwaans daily in order to make this possible.

Issues that our biting away at the roots of the Khalsa Panth

The Khalsa Panth that was created by Guru Ji to defend truth and righteousness is under attack by many agencies across the world. A lot of Corrupt Government hate the Khalsa because the Khalsa has always remained a thorn in the way of injustices and evil regimes. All efforts have been made to dilute and eventually destroy the khalsa Panth, but this will never happen as God created the Panth. A lot of Governments on the past have tried to destroy the Panth, but the Panth has remained but the evil regimes have disappeared

• Every subject and sakhi has two versions, so much controversy has been created that the panth has split into two about a subject or just remains confused about others. This is mainly done by altering our History and fabricating a lot of documents. (This is a smart tactic by the enemy as it is a strike at our roots). All the true answers remain in Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, but these days Sikhs will rather read articles and fabricated history and spend their time in doubt or practicing falsehood.
Propaganda to make people that are fighting in the defence of the Panth look like the ‘bad Guy’ in the Media. Non violent Sikh activists are condemned and arrested at protests. Sikh Freedom fighters who resist against tyranny are made to look bad in the media. (their character is assassinated by slanderous lies)
False imprisonment – a lot of Sikh youth are behind bars for crimes they did not commit. (forced confessions through torture and blackmail and fabricated cases)
• Our youth are murdered by authorities (organised riots from government levels, and fake police encounters)
• We have been victims of Genocide
• Our so called leaders that are meant to guide the Panth are Government agents and are non-Panthic.
Traitors – enemies within, disguise themselves and weaken the defences of the Panth
Sects – a lot of fake sects that practice teachings against Sikhi, but however claim to be Sikhs has misguided a lot of people – In turn this reduces our numbers and leads to unnecessary debates and tension. (most sects have been purposely created by the Government)
Drugs – a lot of our youth are on drugs
Our Gurdwara committees are mainly corrupt and have no genuine interest in real Sikhi. (Gurdwaras have become business centres and in turn loose their focus on Sikh ethics)
Language – a lot of youth do not know Punjabi and Gurmukhi (even in Punjab as Hindi is the language used in Punjab schools)

Translations of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s Biras Shabads.

Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji had so much love for the khalsa, this love can be still felt when one reads the shabads within Dasam Granth & Sarbloh Granth. Guru Ji gave words of admiration and protection to the Khalsa Panth.

I will give so much courage to the Khalsa that one of my Singhs will enter the battlefield against 125,000. I shall cause the sparrow to fight the hawk, only then shall I deserve to be called Gobind Singh. – Sarbloh Granth.

So long as the Khalsa remains distinct and different, I shall give my whole hearted strength to them. But if they begin to behave like a Brahmin, I shall not stand by them. – Sarbloh Granth

The Khalsa shall rule

No one shall defy them

After bitter frustration all will seek alliance with the Khalsa

Saved will be those who submit before the Khalsa

The Khalsa is Gods the Victory is Gods. – Sarbloh Granth

None would transfer political power to anyone

One who gets it, does by force

Without political patronage, religion cannot survive

Absence of religion leads to barbarism – Dasam Granth

Khalsa is Gods own Legion it is created by the Lords will

Khalsa is my own Image

I abide in the Khalsa

Khalsa is my body and life

I belong to the Khalsa

& the Khalsa belongs to AkaalPurakh

In the same way as the drop of water belongs to the ocean. – Sarbloh Granth.
