Punishers of phoola the Police Cat

On the 28th of August, 2 Sikh youth, Harchand and Navtej Singh punished Ajit Phoola for his crimes against the Sikh Community.

Who is Ajit Phoola?

Phoola had grabbed lands, raped women and committed human rights excesses during the period of militancy. The worst in-human act he committed was killings of four innocent women, who were relatives of Shaheed Bhai Balwinder Singh Jatana, a Sikh militant. Phoola along with his goonda brigade raided the house of Jatana at the early hours of 29 August 1991 and burnt alive four women named Jasmer Kaur (chachi), Dawarki Kaur (grandmother), Manpreet Kaur (a 7th grade student) and Harsimranjit Kaur (6 year old handicapped girl). Despite the repeated pleas of Sikh organizations and Human Rights bodies, none government initiated an inquiry against the cold-blooded killings, let alone punishing the perpetrators.

What prompted this action?

Natvej Singh had been after Ajit Phoola for 3 years, each time Navtej Singh heard Phoola's name, his blood began to boil. Whenever Navtej Singh would hear of Ajit Phoola visiting any town or city, Natvej Singh would begin planning an attack. After cases being registered against Navtej Singh by Batala police, he was sent to Ghumtala jail. (Navtej Singh was jailed for having beaten up the radical BJP leader Naresh Mahajan).

On May 13, 2008 Ajit Phoola was also sent to this prison after a case was registered for the murder of 7 family members of Bhai Joga Singh Khanpur. Thus Navtej Singh was granted with the oppurtunity to punish the dusht he had been chasing for the last 3 years. Navtej Singh along with Harchand Singh hatched a plan and registered their names into the pages of Sikh history when on the morning of Thursday, the 28th of August, the 2 Soormay set ablaze Ajit Phoola. A book by Baljit Singh Khalsa, editor of Fatehnama, named "Hindustani Attwaad" was also recovered from the jail. This book mentions many of Phoola's mideeds and atrocities carried out upon Sikh families, such as that of Shaheed Bhai Balwinder Singh Jattana Babbar.

What can we do to help these Singhs?

Whilst Navtej Singh's father is located in USA, Harchand Singh's family struggles to make ends meet. However, both families should be honoured respectedly, for their sons noble deeds. Donations gathered for this project will be split 50/50 and presented to the families of these 2 heros.

UK Gurdwaras Insult Guru Sahib by promoting Naamdhari Cult

United Kingdom - Earlier this month, Panthic Weekly exposed (see Naamdharis Performing Keertan at Gurdwaras) the intentional distortion of Gurbaani by Naamdhari Keertanis who are currently touring the UK after members of the UK Sangat who heard their Keertan highlighted the beadbi. Naamdhari Baljeet Singh and Gurmeet Singh misread a word in Aasa Ki Vaar. When challenged by two Sikh ladies sitting in a UK Gurdwara where these Keertanis were performing Keertan they justified their beadbi (violation) of Gurbaani by saying that their "Guru" (referring to Jagjit Sinh) said that "phaaray" (torn) as stated in Aasa Ki Vaar in Sri Guru Granth Sahib jee is actually "pehiray" (worn).

Guru Har Rai Sahib Ji's eldest son Sri Ram Rai had needless enmity with the eight and ninth Gurus and appointed his own Masands. He changed a line in the holy Gurbani just to please the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb, changing "Mittee musalmaan kee…" (soil is of the Muslim…) to "Mittee beimaan kee…" (soil is of the deceitful…). The seventh Satguru discarded Sri Ram Rai from the house of the Guru forever, because he altered Gurbani. Satguru said:

"Those who do not fear and respect Gurbani, cannot be a Sikh of mine."
(Sri Guru Partap Suraj Granth)

We must remember Seventh Nanak, Guru Har Rai Sahib Ji, disowned his own son and excommunicated him from the Panth after he intentionally distorted one word from Gurbani. However, today's Gurdwara Management Committees are allowing those who don't believe Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji should be on the throne of Guru Nanak, who believe that their self-proclaimed Satguru is the 15th incarnation of Guru Gobind Singh Ji, practice Havans and Bipran Kee Reet, and intentionally distort a word in Gurbani to perform Keertan on our Gurdwara because they have knowledge of Gurmat Sangeet.

Does knowledge of Gurmat Sangeet and Raag give one license to perform Keertan irrespective that they are corrupt fraudsters who believe intentionally and unapologetically distort Sikh history, Sikh principles and most seriously Gurbani, the Word of God? Anyone who allows Naamdharis to perform Keertan on the Gurdwara Stage is liable for the same punishment for allowing the followers of Ram Rai perform Keertan on the Guru's stage.

Gurbani says:

Some sing of the Lord, through Raags (musical measures) and the sound current of the Naad, through the Vedas, and in so many ways. But the Lord, Har, Har, is not pleased by these, O Lord King. Those who are filled with fraud and corruption within - what good does it do for them to cry out? The Creator Lord knows everything, although they may try to hide their sins and the causes of their diseases. O Nanak, those Gurmukhs whose hearts are pure; obtain the Lord, Har, Har, by devotional worship. (Ang 450)

Is the insult by Naamdharis towards Sri Guru Granth Sahib jee just limited to distortion of history, principles and Gurbani? No. In the 1940's the Naamdhari Guru Partap Singh started the practice called a 'Pattar Paath'. This was in imitation of the Gursikh Akhand Paath but what was particularly odious about it was that it entailed the Angs of the Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji being torn out and then passed to a number of Paathis (Scriptural readers) and the Patah then being done at the same time by 10-15 people. As a result the Paath was completed in a few hours. Then these Angs were burnt! Sri Akaal Takht Sahib warned Partap Singh about this violation of the sanctity of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. However, the 'Pattar Paaths' were only stopped after the Sikhs protested and Panthic Nihang Singhs threatened to kill Partap Singh.

The following UK Gurdwaras have advertised and promoted the Naamdhari Keertanis and therefore insulted Satguru Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji by allowing the followers of self-proclaimed Satguru who claims to be the rightful owner of Guru Nanak's throne and who intentionally and unapologetically distort Gurbani in the presence of Satguru Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji:

Central Gurdwara, Drayton Bridge Road, West Ealing
Guru Amar Dass Gurdwara, Clifton road, Southall
Ramgharia Gurdwara, Oswald road, Southall
Guru Nanak Darbar, King Street, Southall
Guru Nanak Sikh School, Springfield Road, Hayes
Sri Guru Singh Sabha Gurdwara, Havelock Road, Southall
Gurdwara Karamsar, High Road, Ilford
Ramgarhia Gurdwara, Woodland Avenue, Slough
Ramgaria Gurdwara, Foleshill Road, Coventry
Gurdwara Baba Sang, High Street, Smethwick
Gurdwara Babe Ke, Soho Hill, Hockley

A Sikh is one who owes sole allegiance to only Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji and the Guru Khalsa Panth. May God bless the Gurdwara Sahib Management Committees with understanding so that they realize their mistake and beg for forgiveness from the Sikh Sangat in the presence of Satguru Sri Guru Granth Sahib and Guru-Roop Panj Pyaare. May Guru Sahib and generations to come forgive us for welcoming and allowing such Manmat to prevail in the House of Satguru Nanak.

Bana is important for a Singhs Image

Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji created the khalsa Army to uphold rightousness and Justice throughout the World. Guru Ji gave us a Bana and Gurbani. Gurbani is a form of god on this earth, Sikhs are meant to show utmost respect to Gurbani. Gurbani is not a fashion symbol. Guru Har rai said "those who do not respect Gurbani are not my sikhs"

The Bana consists of theDastar and the rest of the 5ks. Guru ji told his Singhs to look like lions ready at all times. But this days Sikhs are making themselves look like clown. We are maeant to live by gods will and accept the form Waheguru created us in, however some fools get Gurbani tattoos.

Real Singhs

Clown Sikhs who disregard the Bana and make a mockery of the Sikh Image and do our besti

CSJS Drug Bust by DRI

Private courier van seized in DRI raid, and officials outside CSJS property

Amritsar Sahib (KP) - India’s Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) raided the various properties of the controversial publishing firm, Chattar Singh Jiwan Singh (CSJS), after they confiscated around 6kg of heroin from a courier package that was being shipped to Canada along with religious books.

A courier van that was on its way to Delhi was intercepted Thursday night near Jalandhar after a tip off that narcotics were being shipped via this channel. After confiscating the van, the DRI discovered heroin had been concealed in small plastic packets inside religious VCDs, DVDs, and books. The total value of the seized drugs is valued at over 6 crore Indian rupees ($1.3 million).

The DRI, conducted raids at Chattar Singh Jiwan Singh book shops, publishing center, the CSJS Hotel, and other properties belonging to the publishing family.

"The seized narcotics have a street price over $1.3 million, and were hidden in religious DVDs, and books."

The agency had detained the owners’ sons Rabjeet (Robbie) Singh and Vicky Singh in connection to the narcotic shipments. Rabjeet Singh is said to be a close associate of Prithipal Singh Sandhu, who was the personal assistant of former Jathedar Joginder Singh Vedanti.

The CSJS brothers had also been working on a business project with a US based kathakar for distribution of katha on Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji to be released later on this year in connection to the 300th Gurta-Gaddi celebrations.

Upon hearing about the drug bust, SGPC President Avtar Makkar demanded that authorities allow SGPC staff to take possession of all Saroops of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji that were being stored at the publisher’s facilities.

Sikhs have long been filing complaints at Sri Akal Takhat seeking bans on privatized publishing of saroops of Guru Granth Sahib Ji, and despite the mandates of the Takhat, for years many publishers have continued with this blasphemous act.

The owners of Amritsar’s oldest publishing firm have previously been in hot water for improperly printing, transporting and handling saroops of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, and were reprimanded by Sri Akal Takht Sahib for these violations.

Back in 1998 when Jathedar of Sri Akal Takhat Sahib, Singh Sahib Bhai Ranjit Singh Ji, issued a HukamNama giving only the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee and other approved publishers the right of publishing saroops of Guru Granth Sahib. Despite, the intervention by the Takht, the firm continued to print the holy Saroops without approval from the SGPC.

Controversial Punjabi columnist Darbara Singh Seona Shot dead

darbara-seona
Patiala: Controversial Punjabi columnist Darbara Singh Seona, general secretary of Shiromani Akali Dal (International) and Punjabi columnist was shot dead by unidentified two motorcyclists here on Friday evening. Earlier the writer had said that "the status of Guru was not bestowed on the Guru Granth Sahib by the tenth master but to the Panth."

Police sources said that the incident occurred when he was coming back to his home on Kinetic near his house in Sant Nagar area on Rajbaha road around 7.30 pm. Two persons on motorcycle fired three shots from behind. The assailants fled immediately from the scene. Seona immediately brought to local Rajindra Hospital and doctors declared him brought dead.

SSP SK Asthana has confirmed the shooting incident and said that he has been gathering the information about the incident.

Darbara Singh Seona who writes for Punjabi vernacular newspaper 'Rozana Spkesman' was confronted by Damdami Taksal on May 25 this year in Amritsar. Damdami Taksal sought publicly apology for his write-up wherein he has allegedly published some controversial remarks over the Sikh history and Sikh Holy Scripture, Guru Granth Sahib. But Darbara Singh in plain language declined the hardliners for apology and refused to take back his comments given in his articles.

In his article, Seona refers to the tradition of giving satkar to Guru Granth Sahib Ji's saroops by presenting rumallay as a Brahmanical ritual, implying that Guru Granth Sahib Ji's saroop is a mere book and should not be treated as 'Pargat-Guraa-Ki-Deh'. The same ideology was forwarded by Kala Afghana, who was later excommunicated for belittling Sikh traditions and Gurmat values.

Atinder Pal Singh, the President of International Akali Dal to whom the writer owed allegiance, has disowned the writings of his party person. He has said that "Guruship was bestowed on Guru Granth Sahib and the interpreting and implementing authority was Guru Panth." Simranjit Singh Mann has sought the arrest of the writer and also of Joginder Singh, the editor of Spokesman. He has urged the Badal government to take stringent actions against the paper. His party, the Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) has filed numerous complaints against the daily at various places in Punjab.

Incident at Barking Gurdwara

Dear Frontline My name is Manjit kaur i live in leyton and i am 25 years old. Last friday i was on my way back from a mates party in barking. It was 3am in the morning I saw a white male who was drank and had a fag in his hand, he was pissing against the Gurdwara. So one of my male mates got out to confront the man, he was too pissed and just said sorry. At a closer look to our amazement the man was pissing on Gurbani in the hedges. The man was not doing it directly but it still happened, i Have wrote a letter to the Gurdwara, but i think the more letters and calls they get from the community the better. I think they should stop putting Gurbani in the hedges of the Gurdwara.

Beadbi at my mates sehaj patth

Found the above paper in my mates Sehaj Patt

The Gyannis note down where they finish , so that the next gyanni or when they return to carry on with the patth can start of from the correct position. Therefore they have to write down Angs from Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji on a note pad, after the sehaj patth is finished this notepad or paper from the note pad ends up in the bin.

Is the Bin a place for Gurbani?
is this holdong Gurbani in high regards?

The correct and respectful thing to do would be cremate the paper.

Indian, Hindu or Sikh?

All the gods and goddesses have been fascinated by maya*

Death does not spare any one without the service of the Guru.

O Nanak, without the True Name,

Of what use is the frontal mark of the Hindus, or their sacred thread?

Guru Nanak Dev Ji - the founder of Sikhi

Of the South Asian communities that have settled in Britain, Sikhs constitute the second largest visible minority after the Islamic community, and the third largest taking into account the Irish community. Sikhs have been recognised as a racial group in Britain since the House of Lords ruling in 1982: in the Mandla v Lee case when The House of Lords found that the Sikh community was not only a religious group but also a distinct ethnic group.

Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji contains Shabads of Hindu and Muslim saints alongside Shabads of Sikh Gurus. This was earlier solemnised by the fifth Guru when he invited the Muslim cleric Mian Mir to lay the foundation stone of the Durbar Sahib (popularly known as 'Golden Temple'). Notwithstanding these positive groundbreaking actions of interfaith respect and recognition of other faiths, some people are attempting to present Sikhism as a doctrine of Hindu mythology. This is particularly a concern for Sikhs in respect to activities by some Hindu organisations and individuals as described below. Though Sikhism has been accepted as one of the world’s major faiths, ashamedly Hindu organisations continue to deny Sikhism’s very existence. Such acts of maliciousness by so many Hindu organisations bent on undermining Sikhism and assimilating Sikhs into Hinduism are damaging race relations in this country, and present an opinion that there is a deliberate worldwide campaign of assimilation.

These policies came to light particularly during the 1999 Khalsa tri-centenary celebrations, when the government of India gave Hindu organisations as many public funds to put on Khalsa tri-centenary celebrations as Sikh organisations, pushing forward there own policies. This has led to the establishment of the Rashtriya Sikh Sanghat as a sister organisation to the neo-nazi Hindu Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh, and production of misinformation and publications to “re-educate Sikh” masses in the belief that Sikhism is a branch of the Hindu tree.

Recently in the UK similar activities have increasingly materialised. During the Hindu Youth Festival 2001 (26 July – 5 August) organised by Oxford Centre for Vaishnava and Hindu Studies’ (based at a respected university in the City of Oxford and which includes on their Board and Advisory Council alleged academics), a magazine was presented by a consortium of Hindu organisations (including National Hindu Students Forum, Brahma Kumaris Youth, Vivekananda Centre, Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh) which not only included a 3 page article on why Sikhism is part of Hinduism, but also referred to the Sikh Gurus as: ‘Mother India was blessed with ten Hindu sons who came from the great Kshatriya Surya lineage’. Also other pages in the magazine referred to Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji as an evolvement of Hindu scriptures.

Guru Nanak Dev Ji had already protested as a child against wearing the supposed sacred Hindu thread. The Gurus revolted by the brahmanic caste inequalities, were sorrowful at the persecution and exploitation of so called lower castes. Even today whole Dalit villages are erased in upholding these absurd ‘religious’ practices!

Would a Hindu ask the following question?

‘O Nanak, without the True Name, of what use is the frontal mark of the Hindus, or their sacred thread?

Raag Aasaa , Ang 467, Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji.

In Raag Bhairao, Ang 1158 Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, Gurbani states:

I have abandoned both the Pandits, the Hindu religious scholars, and the Mullahs, the Muslim priests. Whatever the Pandits and Mullahs have written, I reject; I do not accept any of it.’

These Are not the saying of Hindus, so how the hell was Guru Nanak Dev Ji a Hindu!!!!!

Guru Arjan Dev Ji (supposedly the Fifth Hindu son according to those very academic souls from Oxford) in Raag Bhairao, Ang 1136 makes it absolutely transparent:

‘I do not make pilgrimages to Mecca, nor do I worship at Hindu sacred shrines.

I serve the One Lord, and not any other.

I do not perform Hindu worship services, nor do I offer the Muslim prayers.

I have taken the One Formless Lord into my heart; I humbly worship Him there.

I am not a Hindu, nor am I a Muslim.’

Sikhism absolutely and conclusively rejects all Hindu gods and goddesses as they are under the spell of Maya, Guru Nanak Dev Ji says “All the gods and goddesses have been fascinated by maya and death does not spare any one without the service of the Guru” – Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Gauri M.1, Ang.227.

Why should we worship gods and goddesses that themselves are perishable? What can we ask from them and what can they give? When the stone-gods are bathed in water, they themselves sink therein – Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, Sorath M.1, Ang 637

According to Guru Amar Das Ji “Brahma revealed the hymns of the Vedas and extended the affection for maya…Shiva remains in his abode, but is engrossed in great anger and pride. Vishnu is always busy in reincarnating himself.– Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, Vadhans M.3, Ang 559.

Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva have gone astray in three modes, having increased ego and attachment. Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, Var Bilawal M.3, Ang.852.

Sikhs share a tradition of secularism, which has often led to the community denying their own needs in the interests of the wider society. There are others who wish to exploit the Sikh trait of common interest to suit their self-interest. As a result the interests of the Sikh community have been presented by those who wish to exploit the Sikh community, and present the Sikh nation as part of Hinduism. How can such blatant political behaviour be tolerated by the common Hindus who have close friendships with Sikhs? If these friendships are sincere, then they will recognise the hurt that Sikhs feel in the assimilative policies fostered by Hindu organisations.

The National Union of Students and Union of Jewish Students sponsored a publication in 2000: 'Racism a Light Sleeper'. Within its pages the section on the Hindu Community proudly states 'In Britain today there are approximately 1.5 million Hindus, including Jains, Buddhists, and Sikhs'. This misleading and inaccurate statement encapsulates the very nature of assimilation policies that the Sikh nation has endured for over five decades. It also encompasses a rational and intentional encaging of Sikh culture, history and identity by a significantly larger majority (approximately 1 billion world-over) of a minority community (approximately 20 million), which makes up only 2% of the population of India.

The deliberate misrepresentation by the National Hindu Students Forum of the Sikh community as a part of the Hindu community is a fallacy that has been enshrined in the Indian constitution for over fifty years. It is as a result of these and other similar attempts of assimilation, that resulted in Sikh religious, social and economic demands of equitable treatment that the situation in Punjab led to loss of life, as legitimate and peaceful campaigns for religious rights were met with violent arrest and imprisonment. In consequence, structural exclusion has led to the same minority community portrayed as an aggressor, with labels such as fundamentalism, orthodoxy or even militant stamped on the Sikh community. In fact the Sikh community has closed in and tried to find strength in its core beliefs whilst defending and defusing continuous assimilative offensives.

Anti-fascist and anti-racism unity is born from the recognition of, and acceptance of, diversity as inherent to the peaceful co-existence of nations, religions and of peoples. In accepting these principals, in practice we must collectively be conscious of and accept the self-categorisation of ethnicity by minority ethnic groups. It is as a result of contra-ideals that Europe witnessed the crusades of the Middle Ages, the holocaust, and in our contemporary times the war and ethnic cleansing in Bosnia and Afghanistan. Guru Teg Bahadur Ji, the 9th Guru was martyred in 1676, when he was publicly beheaded by the Mughals for supporting the right of Hindus to freedom of worship, despite himself not agreeing with core Hindu beliefs; bringing to life the expression "I do not agree with what you say but I will defend to the death your right to say it." Guru Teg Bahadur Ji gave this sentiment a practical, yet sombre reality, and guided Sikhs that diversity is a positive rather than a negative attribute of society.

Searchlight in their 'Overview of the Extreme Right in Europe' write: 'we must recognise a fascist is a fascist, whatever colour they are or whatever religion they profess to be, and oppose them and their ideas, while at the same time taking care not to let racists exploit any campaigns.' We must equally recognise that the struggle against racism and fascism is an international one and be brave enough to be clear about who is a fascist. This is imperative if minority communities such as the Dalits, tribal groups, Christians, Muslims, Sikhs and other minorities in places like India, or minorities anywhere else in the world, are to have a voice raised on their behalf.

We must isolate groups such as the Hindu right wing Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) who like Hizb-ut-Tahrir (HuT) and BNP, target minority communities. We have to ensure that such groups are denied a platform at campuses in Britain. We have to be vigilant and aware of the global threats of fascism and racism and recognise international distress signals for all communities denied a voice, before consequential events, like volcanic eruptions, engulf each and every one of us.

DON’T DISPLAY INDIAN FLAGS IN YOUR CARS AND HOMES. BE PROUD TO BE SIKHS HAVE A SIKH FLAG INSTEAD.
